Well, we didn’t expect that did we? In a race that’s wetter than James Allen pillow, the first race in the F1FTW Fantasy championship saw Vettel take it from Mark Webber with F1FTW’s favourite Jenson Button in third.
Leading the series at the moment is no other than Alex Garlick on 87.5 points, with Chris (another one) second on 86 with some loser called Gareth Crew in third on 85.5. Next up is Bahrain next weekend – all we need is Button to break down and the players such as Chris Garrett and Sarah Ayres will be right back in the fight.

Congratulations to you all! What do you think of the rules? I’m thinking that we could mix it up a bit more – any suggestions?
How about introducing one or two points in the season where you can change your team? Either completely, or swap one driver for another in the same tier?
Can we please add the words “PROVISIONAL” to this list?
I will be lodging an appeal on these results with FIA. Haven’t thought of a reason to appeal yet, but I have emailed Flavio Briatore and I’m sure he’ll come up with something good for me to use.
We will have a provisional hearing about the provisional results. This will be provisionally booked into the 45th August, which is a provisional date. You can appeal about this date if you wish, providing you give us enough time.
;-)
I think I’m getting a headache after that last comment, Gareth! :)
Please can you correct my Surname?
Ryan
Sorry Ryan! Done :)
Well, I did say I was taking a risk by picking Raikkonen and a few other unlikely ones. Oh well, I’m really competing with Medikates, for bragging rights! :)
Congrats to those who chose well (read: boringly). Hopefully there’ll be a bit of a comeback later in the season.
I’m sure there will be, James – eventually the financial and technological might of teams like McLaren and Ferarri will enable them to catch up… could make the season very interesting toward the end!
